The owner of the lodge is a local tourist guide, Steven Wari, a member of Huli clan and very well-known in Tari. He is both a friendly and experienced person, always prepared to satisfy his guests needs.
He has many friends amongst local peoples, so he can always find you a tourist guide or transportation, or organize an interesting tour. His young boys like to accompany visitors and show them arround the most beautiful and interesting sites in the area.
Warili lodge borders on pristine mid-montane rainforest at the beginning of the valley grasslands. This location promiseseternal spring weather and magnificent views of the Tari Valley to the visitor . The forest canopy, a dense mass of interlocking tree tops of all shades of green and the occasional bright splash of colour, provides a natural setting and an exhilarating climate for venturing along the nature trails – when crossing traditional vine bridges, you will discover a secluded waterfall and spot high-altitude orchids and rhododendrons.

Take advantage of the birding in the Tari Gap area where one may chance to observe up to 10 species of the birds of paradise. The flambuoyant Huli wigmen of the Tari Valley have formed a strong bond with these beautiful birds, the men revere the birds by imitating them in both daily and ceremonial life, and are decorating their human hair wigs with the plumage of only the most beautiful birds.
Tari is one of the few places left where men and women can be seen wearing traditional costume as part of daily living and men’s wealth is still counted by the number of pigs and wives they possess.

The lodge features highlands architecture with a main building, dining room with a beautiful wiev over Tari Valley and a cosy centre fireplace.
Electric power is provided by generator and bottled drinking water can be bought in the lodge.
